The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, through the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, will hold the parliamentary forum ?Shaping the Information Society: the Role of Parliaments and Legislators? on 14 and 15 May 2008 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The Forum intends to provide an opportunity for parliamentarians to share experiences and legislative practices on Information Society-related issues, hold discussions with peers, experts and representatives of the United Nations in an international setting, and identify effective modalities for future cooperation.
